After an eventful January transfer window, to say the least, in which Tottenham spent well in exce s of 40m, I have decided to give my opinion of each of Harry Redknapps acquisitions. Five players were added to the clubs books, although only two of them havent inhabitied White Hart Lane before.Jermain DefoeWith Roman Pavlyuvhenko, Darren Bent and on loan Fraizer Campbell the only striking options available to the new bo s when he took to the helm, Redknapp made it clear he wanted more striking options. Jermain Defoe was his first signing. Signing for around14m, Defoe has immediately struck up a perfect partnership with Pav. He looks like a better player after his spell away from London, with his first touch and distribution much improved. 10Carlo CudiciniA proven Premier League goalkeeper, Cudicini was brought in from Chelsea on a free transfer a very astute piece of busine s, in my opinion. He will provide great cover for Gomes, and will be asured when stepping up to the plate. Indeed the Italianwont Chase Utley Jersey just provide goalkeeping cover for Gomes, he will provide competition. He has been learning his trade for over twenty years, and so should not be as mistake prone as the young Ben Alnwick. 9Wilson PalaciosThe Hondouran international has been plying his trade in English football for two and a half years, now, and Spurs had to fight off beleived competition from both Man Robin Roberts Jersey City and Man United to land his signature. Also joining for 14m, Palacios will add another option in midfield, with the bite that is needed in a relegation battle. He will run and battle for 120 minutes if needed, and will give his body for the club. Also a very skilled player, Palacios should prove a good signing. 9Pascal ChimbondaDefinately the most surprising piece of transfer activitym Chimbonda was brought back to the club from Sunderland, after leaving in the summer. He obviously wasnt justbrought in as cover for Corluka, Hutton and Gunter; so the Frenchman will be used as a utility player to fill in anywhere acro s the back four. This signing surprised Tottenham fans up and down the country, but could prove useful come the back end of the season. 5Robbie KeaneHis move back to Spurs was finalised on deadling day, and caused a mixed reaction among Spurs fans; although the general consensus is good to see him back. He made a huge impact during Jim Bunning Jersey his first spell in North London, and knows the club inside out. He is also a bubbly character, and could hugely boost morale amongst the dre sing room. Keane is a proven goalscorer, and could thrive alongside Pavlyuchenko, following the recent news that Jermain Defoe could be out for up Tommy Hunter Jersey to ten weeks.
