Lithium Ion Car Battery - other brands

Had an interesting visit at my local P car dealer. They have been replacing batteries in 'return' lease Cayennes before reselling as certified and have to replace the battery at $4000.00 a pop. So tell me that Lithium Ion Batteries in automobiles is wise??? Get a slightly used car, need new tires $2500, maybe rear brakes $1200 and then your $4000 battery. LOL...Great "GTOb." Gas Tires Oil battery.
