Parton not only included some of her new music on the album, but there are a plethora of rock covers as well, including smash hits such as "Purple Rain," "Stairway to Heaven," "Night Moves" and "Free Bird."MORE:Here is more information on Parton's newest album.Parton's sudden switch from country to rock and roll for this album may seem like it came out of nowhere, but there is a method to the madne s.The singer-songwriter made headlines last year when she declined her nomination into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the Cla s of 2022.While there is no denying where Parton stands in the country music world, she felt that the same could not be said about her role with rock and roll.Ultimately, Parton accepted the invitation Yan Gomes Jersey into the Hall of Fame, with one condition she would prove to the doubters that she was capable of cro sing over from country music fame into another genre by creating a rock album with some of the greatest rock and rollers of all time."I accepted gracefully, but I thought, 'Well, Im gonna have to earn it,' because Im like my daddy, I dont want nothing I aint earned," Parton . "Through the years Id thought that I might one day do a rock album. And timing is everything. So thats really what motivated me to record 'Rockstar,' because I had pretty much given up on the idea, because of my age. Thats when I thought, 'No, Im gonna do it.'"Parton admitted that there were challenges recording the album. Whether it was having to hit different notes for the rock-and-roll style or going acro s the country to record with legends of the genre, the country singer pulled out all the stops for the monster album."There were moments in the studio where I challenged myself," Parton . "I thought, 'I wonder if I can hit that note I hear in my head? I wonder if my voice will do that.' So I Jason Kipnis Jersey really had a lot of fun and thought, 'Well, I'm going to go for it.'
