  • Resetting Your Linksys Router After a Red Light

A Linksys red light can be daunting, but the issue can be fixed by resetting. Find the reset button on your router. In router operation, press the reset button within 10-15 seconds using a Paper Clip or pin. Release the button. Router lights should go to sleep and come to their original position. This procedure reverts your router to its original factory settings, which can solve problems caused by red lights, like firmware Glitter or IP address match. Once you reset, you have to re-configure your Wi-Fi network name and password. If the red light persists even after resetting, refer to your router manual or link support for additional troubleshooting.
