Hey everyone, I’m in the middle of planning a Web3 product launch and trying to map out the comms strategy — and I keep getting stuck on one thing: when is the best time to send out a crypto press release?
I’ve seen projects drop a crypto press release super early — like before anything is even live — just to announce fundraising, tease a roadmap, or build early hype. But others wait until after the product is fully launched, or after their token generation event, or sometimes even later once they have traction to show off. So which approach actually gets results?
Does sending a crypto press release before launch help you build momentum? Or does it backfire if there’s nothing for people to click on or join yet? I’m wondering if it’s smarter to time it with the token launch, or maybe just after, when users can actually interact with something.
Also curious if anyone here has done multiple releases — like one for the testnet, one for mainnet, or one for a partnership or CEX listing. Did it help stretch visibility, or was it just noise?
The Web3 space moves so fast, and I don’t want to waste the chance to grab attention. But I also don’t want to drop a crypto press release too early and have it fall flat.
If you’ve been through a launch and used press releases in your strategy, I’d love to hear what worked, what didn’t, and when you think is the best timing. Examples would be gold. Thanks in advance!
