I’ve been flying around the U.S. a lot lately, and one question I keep seeing pop up is, How many flight departures southwest airline done per year? From my experience (and a little research), Southwest operates between 3,700 and 4,000 flights every single day, sometimes more during peak seasons. That’s a huge number, and it’s one of the main reasons I often choose them.
With over 120 destinations across the United States, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, their schedule makes it so much easier to find flights that fit my plans whether I’m booking months ahead or just a few days before. I’ve even had times when a delay didn’t ruin my trip because there was another flight to catch the same day.
